What you have carefully weighed in you editorial ‘Whither Annan plan?’ (KT/ July 13) was a right appraisal. Kofi Annan’s non-coercive diplomacy is ineffective and will not see the light of the day in Syria. It is unfortunate to note that Syrians’ quest for freedom from dictatorial rule is being met with brute force.We can only hope a quick solution to the Syrian situation is found before more innocent lives are lost in the spiraling violence.
